Samsung iDCS500 DCS (Euro) Keyset User Guide– 64 –n INQUIRE CLIP PARK/HOLDINFORMATIONIf you are informed that an incoming call is on hold or has been parked foryou, you can view the CLIP information before you retrieve the call. This willinfluence how you choose to handle the call. You can do this while the key-set is idle or while you are on a call.From an idle keyset:1. Press the INQIRE key.ORPress the SCROLL key and then the OTHER soft key. Press theSCROLL key again and select INQIRE from the CLIP menu.2. Dial the trunk number.3. You can now answer the call by pressing the ANS soft key.ORYou can use the NND menu to view more information about this call.ORYou can return to the idle condition by pressing the IGNORE soft key.If you are on a call:1. Press the INQIRE key.ORPress the CLIP soft key and then the INQIRE soft key. Your existing callwill go on hold.2. Dial the trunk number.3. You can now answer the call by pressing the ANS soft key.ORPress the NND soft key to view more information about this call.ORReturn to the idle condition by pressing the IGNORE soft key.Note• If you are on an internal call or you have Automatic Hold turned off, you mustfinish the existing call or place it on hold before inquiring.• If you are inquiring about an outgoing call, you will receive a “call no longeravailable” display.
