Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized orgrounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two bladeswith one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug hastwo blades and a third grounding prong. The wide bladeor the third prong are provided for your safety. If the pro-vided plug does not fit fully into your outlet, consult anelectrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.10. Protect the power cord from being walked on orpinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles,and the point where they exit from the apparatus.11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by themanufacturer.12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or tablespecified by the manufacturer, or sold withthe apparatus. When a cart is used, usecaution when moving the cart/apparatuscombination to avoid injury from tip-over.13. Unplug this apparatus during lightningstorms or when unused for long periods of time.14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Ser-vicing is required when the apparatus has beendamaged in any way, such as power-supply cord orplug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objectshave fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has beenexposed to rain or moisture, does not operate nor-mally, or has been dropped.15. If an outside antenna is connected to the televisionequipment, be sure the antenna system is grounded soas to provide some protection against voltage surgesand built up static charges. In the U.S. Selection 810-21 of the National Electrical Code providesinformation with respect to proper grounding of themast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of groundingconductors, location of antenna discharge unit, con-nection to grounding electrodes, and requirements forthe grounding electrodes.16. An outside antenna system should not be located in thevicinity of overhead power lines or other electricallight or power circuits, or where it can fall into suchpower lines or circuits. When installing an outsideantenna system, extreme care should be taken to keepfrom touching such power lines or circuits as contactwith them might be fatal.17. The AC Adapter power supply should not be placed in aconfined area. Proper ventilation is required to ensurereliable operation and to protect it from overheating18.
