Network Connection ProcedureEnglish 53 Network Operation Screen DisplayWhen the DVR and computer settings are complete, start the Web browser on the computer. The browser should be InternetExplorer Ver. 5.5 SP2 or higher.If the computer accesses the DVR following the procedure below, the screen will change to the network operation screen.1 Enter the connection URL in the address barof the browser.Enter the DVR IP address set in NETWORK SET afterhttp:// and press the [Enter] key. The authenticationcheck dialog box will display.2 Enter the user name and password and thenclick .If the user name and password are entered correctly,the connection to the DVR will complete and thelanguage selection screen will display.3 Select a display language from the networkoperation screen and click .The screen will switch to the main screen and networkoperations from the computer will be enabled.Language selection:English, French, German, SpanishWhen PORT is set to a different value from theinitial "80" append a colon (:) and a PORTnumber after the IP address.http://192.168.0.1:81/• There is no distinction between uppercase andlowercase.• If [Remember my password] is checked afterentering the user name and password, enteringthe password when connecting can be omittedthe next and subsequent times.• Because the authentication check dialog box isdisplayed when an operation outside the rights isperformed after connecting, it is also possible toincrease the user level while maintaining aconnected state. Cases when there arerestrictions on the connection rights due torestrictions on the number of simultaneousconnections or network settings are excludedfrom this. (Refer to P6)• Concerning the time setting of the DVRIf the current date and time are not set properlyon the DVR, basic operations such as normalrecording, timer controlled recording, cameracontrol will not be available. It will also hinder thesetting of other menus related to time and date.Therefore, please verify whether the current dateand time are properly set on the DVR using theCLOCK SET screen. (Refer to P24)• If [NETWORK STATUS] is "ON" in NETWORKSET of this device when changing to networkoperation, the message " NETWORK CONTROL"will be displayed on the screen of the monitorconnected to the DVR.• When "Run Time Error" of Java Scriptdisplays while using Internet ExplorerSelect the menus in the following order [Tools] →[Internet Options] → [Advanced Settings] andthen remove the check mark of "Displaynotification for each script error" in the browsersettings. Check "Do not use script debugging".• When a portion of the image is not displayeddue to performance or specifications of thecomputer.Within Internet Explorer select from the menus inthe following order [Tools] → [Internet Option] →"Temporary Internet Files" and then set [Amountof disk space to use] to less.
