ADJUSTING THE DISPLAYAt power ON, the operation display area appears at the topof the monitor screen.The operation display area shows thedate/time, image quality, remaining time, and otherinformation needed for operations.Example: Normal screen(1) Operation symbol displayDisplays symbols for recording, playback, playbackspeed, etc.For the meaning of each operation symbol, see“Displayed symbols” on the right.During simultaneous recording and playback, the displayindicates playback ( ).(2) Picture quality display (JP.44)Displays the quality of the image that can be recordedon the hard disk. Set to “HIGH” in the default settings.(3) Audio recordingDisplays “A” when audio recording has been set.(4) Remaining time displayUnless “OVER WRITE” is set for recording, displaysthe remaining amount of available recording time, asshown below.(5) Date display (JP.34)Shows the month/day/year.05-10-04 (month/day/year)(6) Time display (JP.34)“PLEASE SET THE CLOCK” is displayed when youturn the power ON for the first time.
