6Safety InstructionsOpenings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation. Toensure reliable operation of the product and to protect itfrom overheating, these openings must not be blockedor covered.CAUTIONHot air is exhausted from the exhaust vent. When usingor installing the projector, the following precautionsshould be taken.– Do not put any flammable object or spray can near theprojector, hot air is exhausted from the air vents.– Keep the exhaust vent at least 3’ (1 m) away from anyobjects.– Do not touch a peripheral part of the exhaust vent,especially screws and metallic parts. These areas willbecome hot while the projector is being used.– Do not put anything on the cabinet. Objects put on thecabinet will not only get damaged but also may causefire hazard by heat.Cooling fans are provided to cool down the projector.The fans’ running speed is changed according to thetemperature inside the projector.CAUTION IN CARRyING ORTRANSPORTING THE PROjECTOR– Do not drop or bump the projector, otherwisedamages or malfunctions may result.– When carrying the projector, use a suitable carryingcase.– Do not transport the projector by courier or anyother transport service in an unsuitable transportcase. This may cause damage to the projector.For information about transporting the projector bycourier or any other transport service, consult yourdealer.– Do not put the projector in a case before the projectoris cooled enough.Moving the ProjectorWhen moving the projector, replace the lens cap andretract adjustable feet to prevent damage to the lensand cabinet.When the projector is not in use for an extendedperiod, put it into the supplied carrying case with thelens side up.Air CirculationAir Intake VentAir intake VentExhaust Vent(Hot air exhaust)Do not pitch the projector more than40 degrees from above and below.Do not point the projector up to project animage.Do not point the projector down to projectan image.Do not put the projector on either side toproject an image.Install the projector properly.
