Chapter 4 Control Panel Functions4-254.14 Color MenuThe Color Menu contains the settings related to the quality of printed color.Use the following procedure to enter the Color Menu:1. Press the MENU button on the control panel.2. Press the NEXT button until the text “Color Menu” is shown on the sec-ond line of the display.3. Press the SELECT button to enter the Color menu.4. Press the NEXT button to move through the submenus: RenderingIntent, Color Matching and Alignment.5. Press the SELECT button to enter a submenu.6. Use the procedures in the following table to access and change the systemsettings:Submenus Default Setting Available Settings Procedure for ChangingSettingRendering IntentThis submenu allows you tochoose from several colorsettings. Depending on thetype of printing you do, thissetting should be set to anappropriate valuePhotographic Photographic: This setting willprint the most realisticphotographic images.Presentation: This setting isbest suited when printingBusiness Graphics,Presentations, etc. This settingplaces emphasis on bold,saturated colors.Logo Art: When absolute colorfidelity is important, as whencorporate logos and the like arebeing printed, this setting willyield the greatest color fidelity.Colors that not possible toaccurately produce will beremapped to the closest possiblecolor.Proofing: This setting is verysimilar to the Logo Art setting,but the colors will be shifted bythe color of the media on whichyou are printing.1. Press NEXT orPREVIOUS to scrollthrough the availablecolor rendering settings.2. Press SELECT tochoose and save thissetting.
