In such cases, use the headphone jack or otherlevel-controllable output for connection to the unit.Setting the external input typeWhen using an external input source, set the EXT IN switchon the left side panel according to the type of equipmentconnected.LINE:Use this setting when connecting line output jacks of externaldevices to the analog inputs of this recorder.MIC:Use this setting when connecting mics to the recorder.MIC+PHANTOM:Use this setting when connecting condenser mics that requirephantom power (+24V or +48V) to the recorder.CAUTIONDepending on this setting, the input level setting rangechanges. For this reason, the input level might change greatlywhen this setting is changed. Before changing it, you shouldturn the power OFF or turn the output level all the way down.
