TASCAM DR-60DMKII 474 – Recording10. Turn the DATA dial to set the END LEVEL, which is the levelthat the unit recognizes as no input signal.Options: –6dB, –12dB, –24dB (default value), –48dB11. Press the DATA dial or . button to select the other item.12. Turn the DATA dial to select END DELAY, and press the DATAdial or / button.13. Turn the DATA dial to set the END DELAY, which is the amountof time after the END LEVELis reached until recording stops.Options: 1sec – 5sec (default value)14. When finished making the setting, press the stop (8) [HOME]button to return to the Home Screen.15. Press the record (0) button to put the unit into recordingstandby.Recording starts automatically when the input signal exceedsthe START LEVEL.16. The recording mode changes according to the setting of theMODE.MARK: The unit adds marks when the input signal levelfalls below the END LEVELfor more than theEND DELAYtime and when the input signal levelbecomes higher than the START LEVELagain.PAUSE: The unit pauses recording (resumes recordingstandby) when the input signal level falls below theEND LEVELfor more than the END DELAYtime.TRK INC: The unit pauses recording (resumes recordingstandby) when the input signal level falls below theEND LEVELfor more than the END DELAYtime.When the input signal level becomes higher thanthe START LEVELagain, it starts recording to anew file.17. Press the stop (8) [HOME] button to stop automatic recording.TIPBy using this in combination with the PRE REC function, you canrecord events without losing the beginnings of sounds.CAUTION• When the AUTO REC function is on the self-timer function cannotbe used.• A new file cannot be created if the total number of folders andfiles would exceed 5000.• Files shorter than two seconds cannot be created. Moreover, ifthe sampling frequency is 96 kHz, files shorter than four secondscannot be created.• If the name of a newly created file would be the same as that ofan existing file, its number will be increased by one.NOTE• You can also add marks manually. (See “Adding marks manuallyto a recording” on page 49.)• You can also manually start a new file in the middle of recording.(See “Adding marks automatically to a recording” on page 49.)• When a new file is created, the number at the end of the filenameis increased by one.
