Fourth Edition • Fourth Printing Operator's ManualInspectionsPart No. 214834 GTH-1056 27Test the Stabilizers30 Push the right and left stabilizer buttons andfully lower and raise the stabilizers.Result: The stabilizers should operatesmoothly.Test Auxiliary Hydraulics (if equipped)31 Using the left side of the auxiliary hydraulicsbutton, momentarily rotate or swing thecarriage to the left. Using the right side of theauxiliary hydraulics button, momentarily rotateor swing the carriage to the right.Result: The function should operate smoothly.Test the Drive and Sway Cutout32 Raise the boom above 60 degrees. Extend theboom until E is visible on the side of the boom.33 Step on the brake pedal.34 Put the transmission control lever in forward.35 Push the bottom of the parking brake switch toturn it off.Slowly let up on the brake pedal.Result: The drive function should not operate.36 Put the transmission control lever in neutral.Slowly sway the machine to the left and to theright.Result: The sway function should not operate.Test the Lights37 Verify that all lights are functional.Test the 2-speed Transmission(if equipped)38 Retract and lower the boom to the stowedposition.39 Drive the machine forward. Rotate the controllever to shift the transmission to second gear.Result: The machine should shift to secondgear.40 Rotate the control lever to shift thetransmission to third gear.Result: The transmission should not shift tothird gear.
