44 Uniden MHS550 Radio Owner’s ManualSetting FM Muting[FM Band Only]You can turn FM Muting ON to silence your radio as you tunefrequencies where either no station exits or the station thatis using that frequency is weak. Muting eliminates the noiseunless the level of the signal is sufficient for comfortablelistening.Select the FM band. Press MENU.Use ▲ or ▼ to FM Muting. Press ENTER to select it.Use ▲ or ▼ to choose either On to enable muting,Off to disable a previously set muting on condition orExit to take no action.
