Driving and operating 139If the system is equipped with Colour-Info-Display, select the type ofparking slot by tapping the displayicon 6 or 7.The display shows the type of parkingslot.Changing the parking sideThe system is configured to detectparking slots by default on thepassenger side. To detect parkingslots on the driver side, switch on turnindicator to the driver side for thedurance of the search.As soon as the turn indicator isswitched off, the system searches forparking slots on the passenger sideagain.Display prioritiesAfter activating the advanced parkingassist, a message appears in theDriver Information Centre or Colour-Info-Display. Advanced parkingassist indication in the DriverInformation Centre can be inhibitedby vehicle messages with a higherpriority. After approving the messageby pressing the SET/CLR button onthe turn signal lever, advancedparking assist instructions appearagain and the parking manoeuvre canbe continued.DeactivationThe system is deactivated by:■ long press of button D,■ parking manoeuvre successfullyended,■ driving faster than 18 mph duringparking slot search,■ driving faster than 5 mph duringparking guidance,■ driver interference on steeringwheel detected, |
