The spaceplanning templates are designed to simplify the space planningprocess by helping you to create a floor plan for your basecomponents, particularly if you have shared clearance space.The easiest way to use the space planning templates is to movethe templates around on the grid located at the end of thissection and determine the optimum placement for your printercomponents. Make sure to consider other pieces of equipment,such as cabinets, tables, and optional equipment when planningyour space. Your customer support representative can help youplan space for additional components.The templates are to scale with the grid; each square is equal to12 by 12 inches / 30.5 by 30.5 cm. The curved dotted lines in thecorners of the space perimeters indicate the corners that may berounded off while still maintaining the required clearance space.There are a number of factors to keep in mind when planningyour site, including the following:• Clearance space requirements• Cable lengthRefer to these sections in this manual when considering thevarious factors involved in planning the appropriate location foryour printing system.When determining your space requirements, remember toconsider all of the components you plan to have installed. If youhave a bypass transport or input enablement device option onyour printing system, you should contact the salesrepresentatives for the company from which you purchased yourfinishers and feeders, as well as your Xerox representative, toensure that all of your space requirements are met.
