Refer to theDocument Centre 440/432/420 System Administration Guide,Chapter 6 of thisUser Guide and theCentreWaredocumentation for more information.Public and Private RepositoriesRepositories are directories or filing destinations set up on aserver where files and saved documents created by scanningare held. Documents can be scanned to either a public orprivate repository.Public repositories are validated by Internet Services whendefined by the System Administrator as a scanning destination.These repositories are set up on theProperties, Services,Stored Templates, Repository Setup page. The applicationchecks for the existence of the scanning username, passwordand path. Up to five public repositories (1 default and 4additional) can be defined. After the repositories are set up,they are available to users as choices when modifyingtemplates.Private repositories are not validated by Internet Services andtherefore, when defining private repositories, the directoryspecified must exist on the file server or local drive. Privaterepositories are specific to a particular template and can bedefined by administrators on theProperties, Services, StoredTemplates, Default Template page or by users on theServices,Stored Templates page. When a template containing a privaterepository is selected by the user, the correct user name andpassword to access that filing location must be entered at theDocument Centre.
