The power cord is notcorrectly pluggedinto the outlet.Turn off the printer ifon, confirm that thepower cord is correctlyplugged in, then turnon the printer.Something is wrongwith the outletconnected to theprinter.Plug anotherelectrical device intothe outlet and seewhether it operatesproperly.The power switch isnot correctly turnedon.Turn off the printer,then turn on theprinter.The printer isconnected to anoutlet with a voltageor frequency thatdoes not match theprinter specifications.Use a power sourcewith thespecifications listed in“ElectricalSpecifications” onpage 1-14.The control panel displays theToner Low message much soonerthan expected.One of the tonercartridges may bedefective.Remove the tonercartridges and inspectthem for damage.Replace any that aredamaged.Printed with heavytoner coverage.Check the paperspecifications toensure you are usingthe correct type. Alsocheck that you areusing Xerox-approvedtoner.Cannot print. The tray is out ofpaper.Verify that at leastTray 1 is loaded withpaper, in place, andsecure.There is a papermisfeed or jam.Clear the misfedpaper. See “JamErrors” on page 3-57.
