Scanning from the TWAIN Interface60 Xerox Card Scanner 200 User’s GuideScanning from the TWAIN InterfaceYou can scan from any TWAIN scanning application instead of scanning from the One Touch buttons onyour scanner or the One Touch button panel.A Note About Your Scanner and the TWAIN standard: TWAIN is a widely recognized standard thatcomputers use to receive images from scanners, digital cameras, and other digital devices. The TWAINscanning interface can be accessed from any TWAIN scanning application you have installed on thecomputer. Applications such as Nuance PaperPort and NewSoft Presto! BizCard, which were provided withyour scanner, and many other applications, can use the TWAIN interface for scanning. Because the TWAINinterface is often the same regardless of the software you use to open it, you can still use the instructions inthis User’s Guide for scanning with your Xerox Card Scanner 200. To access the TWAIN interface fromother software, please refer to their user’s guides, then return to this User’s Guide for the steps to scan.NOTE: You can access the TWAIN interface when you’re scanning from the One Touch software. If theOne Touch configuration you are using is set to Configure Before Scan, and the selected option is TWAIN,the TWAIN interface opens right away when pressing the button on your scanner without opening anyother TWAIN-compliant software first. See the section “Configure Before Scan” on page 33 for details. The PaperPort and BizCard user guides are located on the installation disc you received with the scanner. The PaperPort software includes a complete set of help topics that answer questions about each feature ofthe software. To open the Help Topics window, press the F1 key on your keyboard or choose PaperPort helpfrom the Help menu.
