4. Rotate the DIAL knob to select “F” (representing DTMF“#”: the first digit of the DTMF string).5. Press the [LOW(A/N)] key momentarily to accept thefirst digit and move to the second digit of the DTMFstring.6. Repeat the previous steps until you have completed theaccess code (“#(F)1101D”).7. If you wish to attach an alpha/numeric name “Tag” to theInternet Memory, proceed to the next step; otherwisepress and hold in the [MHz(SET)] key for one second to save the setting.8. Press the [MHz(SET)] key twice to enable programming of the name tag (the InternetMemory register number will blink).9. P r e s s t h e [ D / M R ( M W ) ] k e y m o m e n t a r i l y. T h e“- - ALPHA--” notation will appear on the display for 2seconds, then the Memory register number will blinkagain.10. Press the [MHz(SET)] key momentarily. The first digit will blink.11. Rotate the DIAL knob to select the first digit of the de-sired label.12. Press the [LOW(A/N)] key to move to the next charac-ter.13. If you make a mistake, press the [REV(DW)] key to back-space the cursor, thenre-enter the correct letter, number, or symbol.14. Repeat steps 11 and 12 to program the remaining let-ters, numbers, or symbols of the desired label. A total ofsix characters may be used in the creation of a label.15. When you have finished programming the label (6 char-acters or less), press and hold in the [MHz(SET)] key for one second to confirm thelabel.16. Repeat steps 1 through 15 to store other access codes, if so desired.17. Press the PTT switch to save the setting and exit to normal operation.Operation (Accessing an FRG Node)1. Press and hold in the [MHz(SET)] key for one second,then rotate the DIAL knob to select “23 INT MD”.2. Press the [MHz(SET)] key, then rotate the DIAL knobto set this Set Mode Item to “FRG” (thus activating the“Other Internet Link System” mode).3. Press and hold in the [MHz(SET)] key for one second tosave the new setting.4. Press the [ ] key momentarily to activate the InternetConnection feature.
