Page 23FT-450D OPERATION MANUALMY M ODES O PERATIONThe “My Modes” feature allows you to select the operating modes you wish to have available for selection via the[MODE]/[MODE] buttons. Only the desired modes will be displayed in the loop.This feature can be very useful in an HF operation, where the AM/FM/DATA modes are not used.RECEIVINGMY MODES SETUP1. Press and hold the [F] button for one second toenter the Menu mode again. The “ ” iconwill appear on the display.2. Rotate the [DSP/SEL] knob to select the menuitem “MY MODE”.3. Press the [DSP/SEL] knob to enable adjustment ofthis menu item. The “ ” icon will be blinking.4. Press the [MODE]/[MODE] buttons to choosea mode you wish to skip (omit) from the modeselection loop.5. Rotate the [DSP/SEL] knob to select “OFF”, andthen press the [DSP/SEL] knob.NOTEThe “OFF” selection sets the selected mode to beskipped, while the “ON” selection sets the selectedmode to be included in the mode-selection list.6. Press the [DSP/SEL] knob. The “ ” iconreturns to appear continuously.7. Repeat steps 4 through 6 to select/deselect asmany modes as you like.NOTEThe mode currently in use cannot be turned off.8. Press and hold the [F] button for one second to savethe new setting and return to normal operation.MY MODES OPERATIONPress the [MODE]/[MODE] buttons to choose theoperating mode on which you wish to operate.
