You can cus-tomize the operations to your personal preferences.MAIN DIAL KnobThis knob adjusts the operating frequency in the SSB/CW/DATA modes.You may change the knob’s function to also adjust frequency in AM/FMmode via the Menu Mode.When the Clarifier is activated, this knob adjusts the receiver offsetfrequency.AF GAINThis knob sets the receiver’s audiovolume level. Typically, you will op-erate with this control set betweenthe 9 o’clock and 10 o’clock posi-tions.SQL/RF GAIN KnobIn the factory default, this knob ad-justs the gain of the receiver’s RFand IF stages. Using Menu Item“SQL/RFG”, this knob may bechanged to function as a Squelchcontrol, which may be used to si-lence background noise when no sig-nal is present.BAND/BAND ButtonThese buttons select the operating band.
