19FT-70DR/DE Advance ManualDual Receive (DW) FunctionThe transceiver is equipped with the following 3 types of Dual Receive Functions:• VFO Dual Receive• Memory Channel Dual Receive• Home Channel Dual ReceiveThe transceiver checks for signals on the frequency registered to the selected memorychannel (Priority Memory Channel) once approximately every 5 seconds. When receiv-ing a signal on the frequency registered to a priority memory channel, the Dual Receivefunction automatically pauses, and allows reception of the signals.Example: Checking the priority memory channel “100” (145.000 MHz), while receiving“432.500 MHz”.VFOPriorityMemory ChannelPriority Memory Channel IconDual Receive IconThe transceiver monitorssignals on the frequencyregistered to the PriorityMemory Channel, onceapproximately every 5seconds.When the transceiver receivesa signal on the frequencyregistered to the prioritymemory channel, dualreception stops and signalreceiver switches to prioritymemory channel.The transceiver returnsto the previous frequencyquickly and continues toreceive mode when thereis no signal.Registering the priority channel1. Register the preferred receive frequency and commu-nication mode to the priority memory channel (see theoperating manual) .2. Press the [V/M] key to recall the memory channel.3. Press and hold the [V/M] key, and then rotate the DIALknob to select the memory channel registered in step 1.4. Press the [BAND] key.The confirmation screen “PRICH” appears.5. Press the [BAND] key.The priority memory channel setting is saved and oper-ation returns to the prior recalled memory channel.When recalling the priority memory channel, the “PRI”icon appears on the upper right side of the memorychannel number.
