Contact your Dealerif you have any doubts about the appropriateness ofthe particular charger or battery pack you intend touse.Low Battery Indication As your battery discharges during use, the voltagewill gradually become lower. When the battery volt-age reaches 6.0 Volts, the“ ” icon will blink on theLCD display, indicating thatthe battery pack must be re-charged before further use. Avoid recharging Ni-MH batteries before the “LowBattery” indicator is observed, as this can degradethe charge capacity of your Ni-MH battery pack.YAESU recommends that you carry an extra, fully-charged pack with you so you will not lose commu-nications capability due to a depleted Ni-MH battery.Installing the FBA-25A Alkaline Battery CaseThe supplied FBA-25A Battery Case allows operationof the FTA-310 using six “AA” size Alkaline batteries. When installing batteries, insert the (–) end first, thenpress in the (+) end so the battery snaps into place.
