30 EnYou can play back music files stored on a Bluetoothdevice (such as mobile device) on the unit.Please also refer to the owner’s manual of your Bluetoothdevice.Note• To use the Bluetooth function, set “Bluetooth” (p. 41) in the“SETUP” menu to “On”.• A Bluetooth device may not be detected by the unit or somefeature may not be compatible, depending on the model.• You can transmit audio to Bluetooth speakers or headphonesusing the MusicCast CONTROLLER app. The audio output canonly be selected from the MusicCast CONTROLLER app.Connecting a Bluetooth device(pairing)Before you can connect a Bluetooth device to the unit forthe first time, a pairing operation is required. Pairing is anoperation that registers the Bluetooth devices with eachother beforehand. Once pairing has been completed,subsequent reconnection will be easy even after theBluetooth connection is disconnected.1 Press BLUETOOTH to select “Bluetooth” asthe input source.If another Bluetooth device is already connected,disconnect the Bluetooth connection before youperform a pairing operation.2 Turn on the Bluetooth function of theBluetooth device.3 On the Bluetooth device, select the unit’smodel name from the available device list.After pairing has been completed and the unit isconnected to the Bluetooth device, “Connected”appears on the front display, and Bluetooth indicatorwill light up.Note• If the pass key is required, enter the number “0000”.• You can change the network device name of this unit that willbe displayed when connecting Bluetooth devices, from“Network Name” (p. 41) on the settings menu.Playing back Bluetooth devicecontentsConnect a paired Bluetooth device and start playback.Check the following beforehand:• Pairing has been completed.• Bluetooth function on the Bluetooth device is turned on.1 Press BLUETOOTH to select “Bluetooth” asthe input source.NoteIf the unit detects the Bluetooth device previously connected, theunit automatically connects to the Bluetooth device after Step 1.To establish another Bluetooth connection, first disconnect thecurrent Bluetooth connection.Playing back music via BluetoothThis unit Bluetooth device(such as mobile device)LINE 1CDTUNER NET BLUETOOTHBANDPRESETTUNINGMEMORYLINE 2 PHONODIMMER SLEEPSPEAKERSOPTICAL COAXIALBABLUETOOTHWiBLUETOOTHFiSP AConnectedBTLINE 1TUNER NET BLUETOOTHBANDPRESETTUNINGCLEAR MODE DISPLAYMEMORYLINE 2 PHONOREPEAT SHUFFLEBLUETOOTHPlayback keys
