46 EnADDITIONAL INFORMATIONRefer to the chart below if this unit does not function properly. If the problem you are experiencing is not listed below orif the instructions below do not help, set this unit to standby mode, disconnect the power cord, and contact the nearestauthorized Yamaha dealer or service center.■ GeneralTroubleshootingProblem Possible cause Remedy SeepageThe power does notturn on.The protection circuitry has been activatedthree times consecutively. If the unit is inthis state, the STANDBY/ON indicator onthe unit will blink when you try to turn onthe power.As a safety precaution, capability to turn on the poweris disabled. Contact your nearest Yamaha dealer orservice center to request repair. —The power cord is not connected or theplug is not completely inserted.Connect the power cord firmly. —The protection circuitry has been activatedbecause of a short circuit, etc.Check that the speaker wires are not touching eachother and then turn the power of this unit back on. 10The internal microcomputer has frozen,due to an external electric shock (such aslightning or excessive static electricity) orto a drop in the power supply voltage.Turn off the power and turn it on again after at least15 seconds elapse.
