5-7ESU00360Low coolant temperature indicator lightThe low coolant temperature indicator light 1 flasheswhen the coolant temperature is low and informs therider that the snowmobile must be warmed up. After theengine is started, warm it up until the indicator light goesoff.The snowmobile can be operated normally after the indi-cator light goes off.NOTE:When the low coolant temperature indicator light flashes,the engine control system prevents the engine speedfrom rising even if the throttle lever is pressed.ESU00364Coolant temperature warning indicatorIf the engine overheats, the coolant temperature warningindicator 1 and the warning light 2 come on. When thisoccurs, stop the engine immediately and allow theengine to cool down, and then check the coolant level inthe coolant reservoir. (See page 6-4.)CAUTION:@Do not operate the engine if it overheats.@The coolant temperature warning indicator indicates amalfunctioning sensor, disconnected coupler, brokenlead, or short circuit when detected by the self-diagnosisdevice of the snowmobile.The coolant temperature warning indicator and warninglight warn the rider of the above problems by flashingcontinuously.
