5-8ESU00365Self-diagnosis warning indicatorThe self-diagnosis warning indicator indicates a malfunc-tioning sensor, disconnected coupler, broken lead, etc.,when detected by the self-diagnosis device of the snow-mobile.The self-diagnosis warning indicator 1 and warning light2 warn the rider of the above problems by flashing con-tinuously. If necessary, ask a Yamaha dealer for furtherdetails. (See page 5-9 for warning indicator and warninglight flash patterns.)WARNING@ If the self-diagnosis warning indicator and warn-ing light flash continuously during operation,there may be some problem with the electricalcircuit, lead couplers, etc. (See page 5-9 for warn-ing indicator and warning light flash pattern num-bers 1–6.) Stop the engine and allow it to cool off. Then,check that the wire harness couplers are con-nected properly in the engine compartment. If the self-diagnosis warning indicator and warn-ing light flash after the engine has been started,note the flash pattern, and then have a Yamahadealer inspect the snowmobile as soon as possi-ble.@
