Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a power reduction under these conditions.Performance reduction during elevated ambient temperaturesThe unit´s maximum permissible ambient temperature is 40 °C. Up to that temperature a load of thequoted rated current is possible under rated conditions.As the dissipation of the power loss (heat generation) arising in the device depends crucially on theambient temperature, the max. load must definitely be reduced in cases where the ambient temper-atures exceed 40 °C! The average value measured during a 24 h period must be 5 K under the max.ambient temperature.
