38• The wire, which is coloured blue, must beconnected to the terminal, which is markedwith the letter N or coloured black.• The wire, which is coloured brown, must beconnected to the terminal, which is markedwith the letter L or coloured red.• Ensure that the cable does not becometrapped when pushing the appliance intoposition.If a moulded plug is fitted.• In the event of replacing a fuse in the plugsupplied a 3 amp ASTA approved fuse toB.S. 1362 must be fitted. The fuse cover must be refitted when changingthe fuse. In the event of losing the fuse coverthe plug must not be used until a replacementfuse cover has been obtained and fitted.Connecting to gas supply• This appliance is designed to be installedwith an appliance flexible connection only.• Supply piping should not be less than R3 /8.Connection is made to the Rc ½ (½” B.S.P.)female threaded entry pipe located justbelow the hob level on the rear left hand sideof the appliance. SEALANT TAPE.• Carry out a gas tightness test afterconnecting to the gas supply.• The gas bayonet connector must be fitted inthe shaded area indicated.• Take into account that it must be possible topull the appliance forward sufficiently.Ensure the hose does not become trappedwhen pushing the appliance into position. FLEXIBLE TUBING USED MUST COMPLYWITH BS.669 CURRENT EDITION.Fitting the stability chainIt is recommended that if the appliance is to beinstalled with a flexible supply pipe, a stabilitychain be fitted and is available from yoursupplier (see Important Safety Requirements).These instructions should be read in conjunctionwith any leaflet packed with the stability chain.1. Place the appliance in its intended positionand level appliance.2. Mark a position 100mm from the top of therear right hand corner.3. Measure down 150mm from this point.This gives the position of the wall anchorpoint for the stability chain.
