Thefan circulates hot air to maintain an even temperatureinside the oven.The advantages of cooking with this function are:3 Faster PreheatingAs the fan oven quickly reaches temperature, it isnot usually necessary to preheat the ovenalthough you may find that you need to allow anextra 5-7 minutes on cooking times. For recipeswhich require higher temperatures, best resultsare achieved if the oven is preheated first, e.g.bread, pastries, scones, souffles, etc.3 Lower TemperaturesFan oven cooking generally requires lowertemperatures than conventional cooking.Follow the temperatures recommended in thechart on page 13.
