VCX Hardware Configurations 19There are two basic configuration options, single-site and multi-sitesystems. The hardware servers in each option type run the VCX operatingsystem. Currently supported hardware platforms include:■ V7000-series systems with IBM X306m or IBM X346 servers■ V6000 Integrated Branch Communications servers■ V6100 Integrated Branch Communications serversThe next two sections describe typical examples of single-site andmulti-site configurations.Single-SiteConfigurationsThis section describes two possible single-site configurations.■ One Pair of ServersThis configuration includes one pair of servers. The primary server andthe secondary server both run the IP Telephony and IP Messagingconfiguration. The Call Records Service is enabled on the primary server only.■ Two Pair of ServersThis configuration includes two pairs of servers:■ Two servers run the IP Telephony software configuration.
