40 Control system and interfaces Control block diagramControl system block diagramThe BCU is the major component of the drive control system and performs general drive, motor control, and closed loop functions. The main internal control devices and the peripheral input and output interfaces to thecustomer communicate with the BCU via optical fibers and hardwired I/Os.The control hub provides the interfaces between the inverter unit and the controlcompartment. This includes the inverter control as well as the monitoring signals from theinverter cabinet.DDCS communication channels are used for high speed data transfer via the control hubto the PEBB control boards inside the power modules.Internal and external, analog and binary I/O signals are connected to the BCU via anAC500 I/O controller. The I/O controller and the BCU communicate via a fieldbus link.Analog measurement signals (i.e. supply and motor voltages and currents) are transmittedto the BCU via the CVMI2 board. For the physical locations of the control components see chapter Function and hardwaredescription.Customer IOACS-AP-S panelNETA-21CVMI2IMHVDControl hubBCU BIOC-01FB FSCA-01 FDCO-02AX5x1 DX5x1DDCSZMU-02USB-RS485-WE-1800-BTPEBB control boardPEBB control boardPEBB control boardPEBB control boardPC DriveStartupPC DriveComposerPCDrive ToolAC500eco(IO controller)MotorprotectionrelayHigher level control system
