That receiving function block has outputs that canbe used, for example, to control high voltage apparatuses in switchyards. For local controlfunctions, the local HMI can also be used. Together with the configuration logic circuits, theuser can govern pulses or steady output signals for control purposes within the IED or viabinary outputs.Figure 77 shows an application example of how the user can connect SINGLECMD viaconfiguration logic circuit to control a high-voltage apparatus. This type of command controlis normally carried out by sending a pulse to the binary outputs of the IED. Figure 77 shows aclose operation. An open breaker operation is performed in a similar way but without thesynchro-check condition.SinglecommandfunctionSINGLECMDCMDOUTyOUTyClose CB1&User-definedconditionsSynchro-checkConfiguration logic circuitsen04000206.vsdIEC04000206 V2 EN-USFigure 77: Application example showing a logic diagram for control of a circuit breakervia configuration logic circuitsFigure 78 and figure 79 show other ways to control functions, which require steady On/Offsignals. Here, the output is used to control built-in functions or external devices.Section 11 1MRK 504 158-UEN AControl178Application manual
