Configuration174 Aastra 415/430 as of R3.2syd-0344/1.6 – R3.2 – 09.2014Note:In a QSIG network it is important to ensure that the authorization tochange the remote maintenance access is also denied to unauthorizedPISN users. Otherwise, a PISN user would be able to use an abbreviateddialling number defined for the destination PINX and containing theappropriate function code to change the remote maintenance access tothe destination PINX.Aastra Intelligent Net:In an AIN the remote maintenance access of all the nodes depends on thesetting in the Master. If remote maintenance access is enabled in the Mas-ter, both the AIN configuration and the offline configuration of the satel-lites are enabled.Remote maintenance access via an external dial-up connection to theAIN is also secured and has to be explicitly enabled (see "Enabling / disa-bling the dial-up connection to the AIN", page 215). This is irrespective ofwhether dial-up access is via a satellite or directly to the Master.5. 4. 3 Function keys for remote maintenance accessOn system phones (with the exception of Office 10) the function code for enabling/barring remote maintenance access can be stored under a function key, providedthe user has the appropriate authorization. The relevant LED lights up if remote maintenance access is enabled once or perma-nently.The relevant LED goes off as soon as remote maintenance access is denied again, either automatically or manually, using the function code, WebAdmin or the sys-tem assistant on Office 45.
