During the Restore pro-cess the ZIP file is extracted by the communication server itself. To ensurethe restore process to run smoothly, make sure you do not modify the ZIPfile. Never extract or modify a backup file yourself.5. 6. 4. 1 Auto BackupThe Auto Backup function creates a backup of the configuration data at regular in-tervals and saves the backup files on the communication server’s file managementsystem.The Auto Backup function creates a backup at daily, weekly and monthly intervals:• Every day at the set time a backup is created and stored in the ..\backup\day\ di-rectory.• When the week changes, a copy of the backup is stored in the ..\backup\week\directory.• When the month changes, a copy of the backup is stored in the..\backup\month\ directory.The backup directories are located on the file system of the communication serverand are directly accessible via the File browser ( =2s) or with an FTP connection.A backup remains stored until the set storage time has expired; the ZIP file is thendeleted by the file system.5. 6. 4. 2 Distribution serviceYou can use the distribution service to automatically copy the auto-backup files toan FTP server or e-mail them.• The e-mail distribution service sends a copy of each auto backup created to apreconfigured e-mail address.• The FTP distribution service stores a copy of each auto-backup created on anFTP server.
