5-5Installing Software on a Novell NetWare ServerNote: To load the drivers automatically at serverbootup, copy theaspitran.dsk andcda1000.dsk driv-ers to the server’s startup directory and modify thestartup.ncf so that the proper path to the driver isspecified.Theaspitran.dsk driver must reside in the same pathascda1000.dsk, because NetWare attempts to loadthis file automatically. If you also have an Adaptechost adapter that uses the Adaptecaic78xx.dsk driver,make sure the driver loads after thecda1000.dskdriver.Note: Older versions of theaic78xx.dsk driver (beforev1.30) are compatible withcda1000.dsk as long as theAAA-13xSA RAID card’s PCI slot is not specified onthe command line (e.g., load aic7870.dsk slot=z). Ifthere is an AIC-78xx based card (e.g., AHA-2940) inthe system,z must point to that card’s slot numberand not to the AAA-13xSA RAID card’s slot number.If loaded without command line parameters, NetWarelist valid slot numbers. The AAA-13xSA RAID cardwill be listed in the parameter list; however, do notselect it.3 Load the NetWareinstall program from the NetWare colonprompt (:load install).
