9-21enclosure Commandsenclosure set scsiidTo set the SCSI device ID for a specific device slot on a specific SAF-TE enclosure management device, use the enclosure setscsiid command. As discussed in other chapters, a SCSI IDconsists of a SCSI channel number (for example, 0, 1, 2, 3, and soon), SCSI device ID (0 through 15 inclusive), and SCSI devicelogical unit number (0 through 7 inclusive). The enclosure setscsiid command allows you to set the specified device slot to aspecific SCSI device ID (the middle number of a SCSI ID).NotesBefore setting the SCSI device ID for a specific device slot on aspecific SAF-TE enclosure management device, use thecontroller pause_io command. This command pauses all I/Oactivity on the currently opened controller. You cannot set the SCSI device ID for a specific device slot to a SCSIdevice ID that is already in use. The command checks for SCSIdevice ID conflicts and will display an appropriate error message ifyou try to assign a SCSI device ID that is already in use.Syntaxenclosure set scsiid {enclosure} {slot}{device_id}Parameters{enclosure}Specifies the ID associated with the enclosure managementdevice.
