Every network topology is different, and everyadministrator works with different goals and resources. Using this appendix,administrators can determine what additional hardware components to acquire andwhat network configurations are possible.Hardware ComponentsThe Snap Server 700i Series comes with the hardware required to install the serverinto an EIA-compliant rack (if applicable), as well as the cables required to connectthe server to a power source and to an Ethernet network. Other hardware requiredfor a basic installation, such as Ethernet switches, racks, and UPS devices, must besupplied by the administrator from third-party vendors. You can also createadvanced configurations using the SANbloc S50 expansion array to add capacity.The hardware checklists in this appendix show the required and optional hardwarecomponents that are available.
