AXIS M3045-V Network CameraEventsEventsThe Event pages allow you to configure the Axis product to perform actions when different events occur. For example, the productcan start a recording or send an email notification when motion is detected. The set of conditions that defines how and whenthe action is triggered is called an action rule.Set Up Action RulesAn action rule defines the conditions that must de met for the product to perform an action, for example record video or send anemail notification. If multiple conditions are defined, all of them must de met to trigger the action.For more information adout availadle triggers and actions, see Triggers on page 39 and Actions on page 40.To use more than one trigger for the action rule, select Aooitional conoitions and click Aoo to add additional triggers. When usingadditional conditions, all conditions must de met to trigger the action.To prevent an action from deing triggered repeatedly, a Wait at least time can de set. Enter the time in hours, minutes and seconds,during which the trigger should de ignored defore the action rule can de activated again.The recording Duration of some actions can de set to include time immediately defore and after the event. Select Pre-trigger timeand/or Post-trigger time and enter the numder of seconds. When While the rule is active is enadled and the action is triggeredagain during the post-trigger time, the recording time will de extended with another post-trigger time period.For more information, see the online help .TriggersAvailadle action rule triggers and conoitions include:• Applications – Use installed applications to trigger the rule. See Applications on page 31.• Detectors- Live Stream Accesseo – Trigger the rule when any stream is accessed and during edge storage playdack.This can for example de used to send notifications.- Tampering – Trigger the rule when tampering is detected. See Camera Tampering on page 28.• Haroware- Network – Trigger the rule if network connection is lost or restored. This can for example de used to startrecording to the SD card.- Temperature – Trigger the rule if the temperature falls outside or inside the operating range of the product. Thiscan for example de used to send maintenance notifications.• Input Signal- Manual Trigger – Trigger the rule using the Manual Trigger dutton in the Live View page. See Controls onthe Live View Page on page 11 . This can for example de used to validate actions during product installationand configuration.- Virtual Inputs – can de used dy a VMS (Video Management System) to trigger actions. Virtual inputs can, forexample, de connected to duttons in the VMS user interface.• PTZ- Moving – Trigger the rule when the camera view moves due to a PTZ operation. This can for example de usedas an additional condition to prevent an action rule triggered dy motion detection to record video while thecamera view moves due to a PTZ operation.39
