CASMED 740 MONITOR SERVICE MANUAL21-02-0174 REV. 02 05/0859SAFETY CHECKSThe following Safety Checks should be performed at least every twelve (12) months by aqualified service technician.• Inspect the equipment for mechanical and functional damage.SYSTEM CHECKSThe following System Checks should be performed at least every twelve (12) months by aqualified service technician.• All LEDs “ON” Check• +12 Volt Power Supply Check• System Pressure Checks• Overpressure Check• Temperature Calibration Check• Oximetry Calibration Check• Chassis LeakageThe following Electrical Safety Check should be performed any time the case is opened orpatient isolation is in question.• HypotBATTERYCAS Medical Systems recommends replacing the monitor’s battery every two (2) years.When the CASMED 740 Monitor is going to be stored for six (6) months or more, remove thebattery prior to storage. To remove the battery, refer to Section REPLACING THE MONITORBATTERY.NOTE:Batteries not charged and left in storage for more than six (6) months could degrade and notrecharge to full capacity.If the CASMED 740 Monitor has been stored for more than thirty (30) days, charge the batteryas described in Section BATTERY CHARGE. A fully discharged battery requires four (4) hoursto receive a full charge. The battery is being charged whenever the monitor is connected to apower source (AC Line Power or +12 VDC).
