A subnet mask “masks out” thenetwork bits of the IP address by setting the bits in the mask to 1 when thenetwork treats the corresponding bits in the IP address as part of thenetwork or subnetwork address, or to 0 if the corresponding bit identifiesthe host. For details about how to change the subnet mask from its defaultvalue, refer to Section 5.15.2.Default Gateway (Modifiable)Displays the default gateway for the DLEHF-MA. This field is notdefined until an appropriate value is entered. For details about why andhow to set the default gateway, refer to Section 5.15.3.TFTP Gateway IP Addr (Modifiable)Displays and allows the user to set the TFTP Gateway IP address for theDLEHF-MA. For example, if the number 5 is entered in this field, the userhas up to five minutes to respond to each of the specified module’s LocalManagement screens. In this example, after five minutes of “idleness” (noinput or action), the terminal “beeps” five times, the Local Managementapplication terminates the session, and the display returns to the Passwordscreen.
