The message “SAVED OK” displays.1.17 SUMMARY OF VLAN LOCAL MANAGEMENTThe VLAN configuration process is an extension of normal LocalManagement operations. A series of Local Management screens providesaccess to the functions and commands necessary to add, change, or deleteVLANs and to assign ports to those VLANs. The IGMP/VLANConfiguration screen has been added to the SmartSwitch device to enablethe operation of IGMP on selected VLANs.A switch supporting 802.1Q VLANs provides the VLAN Configurationscreens as a standard part of its Local Management hierarchy when theswitch is configured to operate in 802.1Q Mode. The hierarchy of theLocal Management screens pertaining to 802.1Q VLAN configuration isshown in Figure 1-17. This supplement shows the revised hierarchy(Figure 1-17) and 802.1Q VLAN Configuration Menu screen(Figure 1-18), and describes how to use the IGMP/VLAN Configurationscreen (Figure 1-19).
