For an additional10 minutes of operation, close allthe doors and turn the key toON/RUN and then back toLOCK/OFF.Engine Coolant HeaterVehicles with the engine coolantheater can use this option incold weather conditions at orbelow −18°C (0°F) for easierstarting and better fuel economyduring engine warm-up. Plug in thecoolant heater at least four hoursbefore starting your vehicle. Aninternal thermostat in the plug-endof the cord may exist which willprevent engine coolant heateroperation at temperaturesabove −18°C (0°F).To Use the Engine CoolantHeater1. Turn off the engine.2. Open the hood and unwrapthe electrical cord. The cord islocated near the driver side struttower.Remove the plastic cap toaccess the plug.3. Plug it into a normal, grounded110-volt AC outlet.{ WARNINGPlugging the cord into anungrounded outlet could causean electrical shock.
