Always upshift whennecessary while using DSC.Vehicles with Driver Shift Control(DSC) allow shifting an automatictransmission similar to a manualtransmission.Use DSC through the shift lever orthe Tap Shift controls on the back ofthe steering wheel (if equipped).To use the DSC feature using theshift lever:1. Move the shift lever tothe right from D (Drive) toM (Manual Mode).Once in M (Manual Mode)position, if you do not move theshift lever forward or rearward,the vehicle will be in sport mode.When you are in sport modethe vehicle will still shiftautomatically. The transmissionmay remain in a gear longerthan it would in the normaldriving mode based on braking,throttle input, and vehicle lateralacceleration.SPORT MODE will be displayedin the DIC momentarily. Thevehicle will remain in sportmode if the shift lever is notmoved. Sport mode will shiftautomatically, but remain in agear longer then it would innormal driving mode based onbraking and acceleration.2. To go from sport mode to DSC,move the shift lever forward toupshift or rearward to downshift.3. To exit DSC and enter sportmode, hold the shift lever in theupshift/forward position briefly.To use the DSC feature with the TapShift controls (if equipped):1. Move the shift lever tothe right from D (Drive) toM (Manual Mode).2. The Tap Shift controls are on theback of the steering wheel. Tapthe left control to downshift, andthe right control to upshift.3.
