If theABS light stays on, or comes onagain while driving, the vehicleneeds service. If the regular brakesystem warning light is not on, thevehicle still has brakes, but notantilock brakes. If the regular brakesystem warning light is also on,the vehicle does not have antilockbrakes and there is a problem withthe regular brakes. It indicates when to shift tothe next higher gear for best fueleconomy.See Manual Transmission onpage 8‑32 for more information.For the CTS-V, the tracer lightsfunction as a performanceup-shift light.The tracers flash to indicate whento shift to the next higher gear toavoid the engine speed limit.See Automatic Transmission onpage 8‑28 or Manual Transmissionon page 8‑32 for more information.StabiliTrak ® OFF LightThis light comes on briefly whilestarting the engine. If it does not,have the vehicle serviced by yourdealer.This light comes on when theStabiliTrak system is turned off.If StabiliTrak is off, the TractionControl System (TCS) is also off.If the TCS is off, the system doesnot assist in controlling the vehicle.Turn on the TCS and the StabiliTraksystems and the warning lightturns off.See Traction Control System (TCS)on page 8‑40 and StabiliTrak ®System on page 8‑41 for moreinformation
