To restartthe engine when the vehicle isalready moving, use N (Neutral).CautionDo not try to shift to P (Park) if thevehicle is moving. With the Keyless Accesssystem, the RKE transmittermust be in the vehicle. Pressthe ENGINE START/STOPbutton with the brake pedalapplied. When the enginebegins cranking, let go of thebutton. The idle speed will godown as the engine warms up.Do not race the engineimmediately after starting it.If the RKE transmitter is not inthe vehicle, if there isinterference, or the RKEbattery is low, a DriverInformation Center (DIC)message will display. SeeDriver Information Center (DIC)0 134 and Remote KeylessEntry (RKE) System Operation0 27.CautionCranking the engine for longperiods of time, by pressing theENGINE START/STOP buttonimmediately after cranking hasended, can overheat and damagethe cranking motor, and drain thebattery. Wait at least 15 secondsbetween each try, to let thecranking motor cool down.2. If the engine does not startafter five to 10 seconds,especially in very cold weather(below −18 °C or 0 °F), it couldbe flooded with too muchgasoline. Try pushing theaccelerator pedal all the way tothe floor and holding it there asyou press the ENGINE START/STOP button, for up to amaximum of 15 seconds. Waitat least 15 seconds between
