See Hood0 241.2. Locate the air filter housing onthe front passenger side of theengine compartment. SeeEngine Compartment Overview0 242.3. Disconnect the outlet duct byloosening the air ductclamp (1).4. Disconnect the electricalconnector (2). First, remove theconnector lock clip at thebottom of the connector, thenpress on the top and bottom ofthe connector to remove.5. Lift the retaining clips (3) on theair filter housing.6. Tilt and lift the cover slightlyupward and slide the coveraway from outside edge of thevehicle. Remove the air filter.7. To install the air filter, placefilter inside box where thepleats fit in between the tabsinside the lower box. Ensurethat the cover cut outs (1) onboth sides match the air filtertabs (2) on both sides.8. Replace air cleaner cover byinserting the four tabs into theslots. Lower cover to meetbottom of the box. Attach theretaining clips (3).9. Reconnect outlet duct to thecover and tighten the air ductclamp (1).10. Reconnect the electricalconnector (2). Install connectorlock clip to the bottom of theconnector.{ WarningOperating the engine with the aircleaner/filter off can cause you orothers to be burned. The aircleaner not only cleans the air; ithelps to stop flames if the engine(Continued)Warning (Continued)backfires. Use caution whenworking on the engine and do notdrive with the air cleaner/filter off.CautionIf the air cleaner/filter is off, dirtcan easily get into the engine,which could damage it. Alwayshave the air cleaner/filter in placewhen you are driving.
