OverviewThe service modes of this machine can beenabled by installing the service mode software(found on the bundled setup disk) on a personalcomputer to be used for servicing.The system requirements of the personalcomputer to be used should be equivalent to thosedescribed in the User’s Manual. In the case of aslower CPU or less memory, the processing timemay become longer, though the service modes willstill be available.Fig. 5-301 shows the Service window.Fig.5-301In the Service window, buttons for executingeach mode are displayed. Each Service modestarts from this window. In the Service window ofthis machine, English is basically used, except forthe OS-related displays.1) RegistRegistration adjustment for image scanning2) Firm LoadFirmware update.3) Dcon CheckThe operation of various kinds of hardwaresuch as operation keys, sensors, operationpanel LEDs, motors, solenoids, and shadingplates is checked.4) Check DeviceVersions of devices located inside themachine are displayed and the imprinter ischecked.5) AnalogDisplays analog values of sensors.6) AboutDisplays the version of the service modesoftware.7) CounterThe total number of fed sheets and thenumber of document jams can be displayedand changed.
