Mechanical counterA 7-digit mechanical counter can be installedon this machine to count the total number ofdocuments fed. If the data of the softwarecounter is lost, the mechanical counter can showthe total number of documents fed.After the mechanical counter is installed, theinstallation is recognized by the DR-6080/9080C.If the counter fails or is uninstalled, an erroroccurs and the DR-6080/9080C cannot beoperated (error code: E31). Therefore, specialattention should be paid.The mechanical counter should be installedby a service technician. For this procedure, referto “CHAPTER 4: INSTALLATION &MAINTENANCE”.4. Barcode moduleThe barcode module is an add-on that addsa barcode function to the ISIS/TWAIN driver.Installing the barcode module on the personalcomputer enables barcode symbols to beinterpreted. The barcodes supported by thismodule are EAN/JAN, CODABAR, CODE39, ITF,CODE128, UPC-A, and UPC-E.The barcode module can be installed by theuser.
