Chapter 6 Fine-tuning the MultiPASS Suite 115Removing the MultiPASS Suite6If you are planning on reinstalling the MultiPASS Suite, you must firstremove the current installation of the software.If you are using Windows 2000/XP, you must log on as a member of theAdministrator group to remove the MultiPASS Suite software.When you remove the MultiPASS Suite, all the software components(such as the printer driver) are automatically removed.To remove the MultiPASS Suite:1. Close the MultiPASS Suite and all of its components, including theToolbar and Status Monitor.Be sure to close, and not just minimize, the Toolbar and StatusMonitor. To close the Toolbar, right-click the Toolbar icon on theWindows taskbar, and then click Exit MultiPASS Toolbar on theToolbar menu. To close the Status Monitor, right-click the StatusMonitor icon on the Windows taskbar, and then click Close on theStatus Monitor menu. Then quit any applications (including viruscheckers) that are currently running.2. On the Windows desktop, click Start, point to Settings, and then clickControl Panel (in Windows XP, click Start, and then click ControlPanel).3. In Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs (in WindowsXP, click Add or Remove Programs).4. In the Add/Remove Programs Properties dialog box (in WindowsXP, the Add or Remove Programs Properties dialog box), clickMultiPASS Suite, and then click the Add/Remove button (Windows98/Me) or the Change/Remove button (Windows 2000/XP).5. Follow the on-screen instructions.When prompted, click Remove to remove the MultiPASS Suite.
