Printing Maintenance58z When cleaning the print head of black ink tanks (for iP4000): selectBlack to clean the Print Head of Black (BCI-3eBK), CColor to clean thePrint Head of Black (BCI-6BK).z Clicking IInitial Check Items displays the items to be checked beforecleaning.(5) When the confirmation message is displayed, click OOK.Print Head Deep Cleaning starts when the PPOWER lamp starts blinking.Do not perform any other operation until the PPrint Head DeepCleaning finishes. This takes about one minute.4 Print the nozzle check pattern to check the Print Head condition.See “PPrinting the Nozzle Check Pattern” on page 49.If a particular color is not printed properly, replace the ink tank of that color. See“RReplacing an Ink Tank” on page 42.z If the print head nozzles are still not clean, open the Top Cover andensure that there are sufficient ink levels in all ink tanks and turn offthe printer.
