Performing Operations and Settings in the Admin Viewer139Admin Viewer/VB Viewer7 Setting White Balance(1) [Auto]The white balance is adjusted automatically.(2) [Light Source]Select the light source from the pull-down menu belowaccording to the condition in which the camera isused.[Daylight Fluorescent] : Select this option to capturevideo under daylightfluorescent lighting.[White Fluorescent] : Select this option to capturevideo under daylightfluorescent lighting or whitefluorescent lighting.[Warm Fluorescent] : Select this option to capturevideo under warm fluorescentlighting.[Mercury Lamp] : Select this option to capturevideo under mercury lamps.[Sodium Lamp] : Select this option to capturevideo under orange sodiumlamps.[Halogen Lamp] : Select this option to capturevideo under halogen lamps orincandescent bulbs.(3) [Lock]The white balance is fixed to that of the video currentlyreceived.To forcibly fix the white balance according to the lightsource, use [One-shot WB].Example of Setting Method:Irradiate a white subject (white paper, etc.) using thelight source and capture the subject over the entirescreen. In this condition, select [One-shot WB]. Setting the Day/Night Mode(1) [Auto]The camera automatically switches to day mode ornight mode depending on ambient brightness.(2) [Day Mode]Color image can be viewed in the normal mode.(3) [Night Mode]Images are shown in black and white, due to thedisabling of the infrared cut filter.(4) [Day/Night Mode Focus Settings]Click to display the [Day/Night Mode Focus Settings]panel for making focus settings when switching Day/ImportantIf the subject is a traffic signal or electronic scoreboard, etc.,the captured image may flicker.In this case, try changing the exposure mode to [Auto (Shutter-priority AE)] and then select a shutter speed lower than 1/100,to see if the situation improves.(1)(2)(3)(3)Important• Since the light source selection options are based onrepresentative characteristics, proper colors may not beachieved depending on the applicable light source. In thiscase, use the [One-shot WB] function.• If the subject looks greenish under mercury lamps in the[Auto] mode, select the [Mercury Lamp] mode under lightsource. If the image is still not shown in appropriate colorsunder mercury lamps when the [Mercury Lamp] mode isselected under light source, use the [Auto] mode.• When the subject has only one color or when sodium lamps,mercury lamps and certain other fluorescent lightings areused, camera colors may not be adjusted automatically.• When [Day/Night] is set to [Night Mode] (including when it isset to [Auto] and night mode is judged to be applicable), thewhite balance function cannot be used.• Notes on capturing video continuously day and nightIf a subject that seldom changes is captured in a locationwhere the light source changes gradually, such as whencapturing a subject continuously day and night, the imagemay not be shown in appropriate colors.In the above case, applying changes to the image to capturewill achieve the appropriate colors.(2)(3)(4)(1)
