Settings other than the shutter speed (aperture, etc.) are adjusted automatically. Using exposure lock to adjust the exposure manually will change the shutter speed, overriding theshutter speed selected in Tv mode. When the GAIN dial is set to A (automatic gain), the numeric value on the screen flashes if theselected shutter speed is not suitable for the recording conditions. In such case, readjust theshutter speed. If you are using an ND filter, turn it off first and readjust the shutter speed. Image quality may decrease to some extent when using slow shutter speeds. When recording under artificial light sources such as fluorescent, mercury or halogen lamps, thescreen may flicker depending on the shutter speed. To avoid the flicker, set the shutter speed to1/100.
